Conversations about Dharma

Today’s shloka is from the Bhagavad Gita when Krishna says,

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत |
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् || 4.7||
Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Arjun, at that time I manifest myself on earth.

The divine comes to us in many forms throughout our lives, it could be through an idol, through a Guru, through a religion. But it is also through every relationship, every situation and every person that we interact with, where we are given the opportunity to make the choice to be our most Divine self, to choose Dharma over Adharma.

And when we are unable to make this choice, at every moment that we fight the inner battle to decide what the right thing to do is, the Divine guides us towards clarity of thought, and it’s our choice to listen.

So when you offer flowers in your prayer today, channel the inner strength that exists within you to always stand for Dharma, for what is right, and the divine will manifest through us to make it happen.
